<p>A rotatable shaft assembly comprises an input capstan (3) to receive a torque, an output capstan (4) to export the torque, a cable support member (1) and a cable (2). One end of the cable support member is located in the central part of the input capstan, and the other end thereof is located in the central part of the output capstan. At least one of the locations of the cable support member relative to the input capstan and the output capstan respectively is relatively rotatable. The cable wraps around the cable support member in a spiral extension. One end of the cable is fixed on an edge of the input capstan, and the other end thereof is fixed on an edge of the output capstan. The rotatable shaft assembly can be can be made at very small diametral dimensions, and the cable support member thereof can be designed to meet a great variety of uses.</p> |
