<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of pins and power consumption in a host controller for sampling reception data in a variable data sampling (VDS) mode and a fixed data sampling (FDS) mode. <P>SOLUTION: A host controller, performing the sampling of reception data in a VDS mode and an FDS mode, includes: a VDS phase register for holding a phase shift amount in VDS; an FDS phase register for holding a phase shift amount in FDS; a mode setting part for indicating whether data sampling is performed in the VDS or FDS mode; a sampling position selection part for selecting the phase shift amount set in the VDS phase setting register or the FDS phase setting register in accordance with the setting value of the mode setting part, and providing it as a sampling position; and a clock phase shift part for shifting the phase of an input clock signal in accordance with the shift amount to be provided from the sampling position setting part, and providing it as a sampling clock. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
