<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium alloy exhibiting strength equivalent to or higher than the ASTM grade 3 at room temperature, that is, having excellent strength 380 MPa or higher of 0.2% proof stress and ductility 25% or higher of total elongation in good valance. <P>SOLUTION: The titanium alloy includes: more than 1.8% and not less than 3.8% of Cu; more than 0.5% and not less than 7.5% of Sn; more than 0.04% and not less than 0.25% of oxygen; and the remainder titanium with 0.3% or less in total of inevitable impurities (Fe, C, N, H, Si, Cr, Ni and the like). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
