<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method which can manufacture an alkali-free glass substrate in which a foam becoming a display defect does not exist even if not using As<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>as a refining agent. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a non-alkaline substrate in which a glass raw material composition becoming a glass which includes, by mass, 50-70% of SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, 10-25% of Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, 5-20% of B<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, 0-10% of MgO, 0-15% of CaO, 0-10% of BaO, 0-10% of SrO, 0-5% of ZnO, and contains SnO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>and/or Sb<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, is prepared, the glass raw material composition is melted, and fabricated to manufacture the alkali-free glass substrate, is characterized in that the moisture content in the glass is adjusted so that the β-OH value may become 0.485/mm-0.65/mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
