PURPOSE: An electrostatic capacitive touch screen is provided to prevent the increase of a base capacitance and to prevent the degradation of touch sensitivity. CONSTITUTION: A touch active area of a screen is divided into a plurality of area frames. A plurality of conductive sensing patterns is formed in the divided areas. A plurality of conductive sensing patterns is formed in order to detect capacitance. A plurality of capacitance sensing units senses each capacitance of the divided areas. A coordinate detection unit(25) merges capacitance information from the capacitance sensing units. The coordinate detection unit detects the location of a touch point.
