PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to enable a manager to apply a specific scan profile policy to users who share an image forming apparatus. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(204) generates a first scan profile and sets up a scan profile policy. A controller(202) performs scanning work with the first scan profile. A display unit(220) displays a scan profile according to the scan profile policy. A selection unit(222) selects the scan profile which is displayed on the display unit.
