PURPOSE: A control system and method for a TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System) and a smart key are provided to reduce the weight and costs for a smart key by removing an RF receiver and an external antenna from an ECU(Electronic Control Unit) of a smart key. CONSTITUTION: A TPMS comprises a smart key(140), a TPS(Tire Pressure Sensor,150), a TPMS controller(120), and a smart key control unit(110). The smart key wirelessly transmits a door opening/closing signal. The TPS is installed in each tire to sense the pneumatic pressure of the tire and transmit a pneumatic pressure sensing signal. The TPMS controller includes an RF receiving part(126) which receives an opening/closing signal and the pneumatic pressure sensing signal and transmits the result of data analysis about the pneumatic pressure sensing signal to a cluster. The smart key control unit communicates with the TPMS controller and analyzes the data of the opening/closing signal to control the opening/closing of a door. |
