PURPOSE: A vehicle for automatically stopping an engine and a control method thereof are provided to improve fuel efficiency by rapidly stopping an engine when the stop condition of the engine is re-formed. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle for automatically stopping an engine comprises an engine(1), a first oil pump(10m), a second oil pump(10e), an acceleration determining unit, and an oil pump control unit. When the stop condition of the engine is formed, the engine is automatically stopped. When the re-starting condition of the engine is formed, the engine is automatically re-started. The first oil pump is powered by the engine, and the second oil pump is powered when the engine is stopped. The acceleration determining unit determines whether the vehicle is accelerated. When the stop condition is formed, the oil pump control unit powers the second oil pump. |
