PURPOSE: A slag foaming depressant and an injection method thereof are provided to prevent the stoppage of work during a slag removing process and thereby improve productivity. CONSTITUTION: An injection method of a slag foaming depressant(1) is as follows. A slag foaming depressant including industrial salt 10wt.% is prepared. The slag foaming depressant is put in a converter(6) before the removal of slag or put into a slag pot during or after the removal of slag.
