<p>1429335 Hot tops AIKOH CO Ltd 28 March 1973 [31 March 1972] 14910/73 Heading B3F A hot top for an ingot mould 1 has a flat side 3 and a stepped side 4, the step 5 being situated midway between the top and bottom of the hot top. It is formed in one piece as an annular body of square, rectangular or polygonal crosssection and may be composed of an exothermic composition comprising metal powders, metal oxides, nitrides, fluorides, refractory materials, fibrous materials and binding agents, and a refractory thermal insulting layer. In a modification, Fig. 1 (not shown), the step is provided on the inner surface of the hot top.</p> |
