<p>1445169 Pressure cooker PRESTIGE GROUP Ltd 1 Nov 1974 [14 Nov 1973] 52938/ 73 Heading B1X [Also in Division F2] A pressure cooking appliance has a safety valve comprising a valve port which is closed by a mavablie valve member which moves to open said valve port at predetermined pressure within said appliance, the valve member being operated by a pivoted element which carries a weight, the position of which on the pivoted element can be altered in relation to the pivot point for adjusting and varying the predetermined pressure at which said valve member opens the valve port. As shown, a valve port 5 is dosed by valve pin 8 attached to beam 11 which forms part of a unit pivoted at 16; weight 20 can be slid along the beam to vary the pressure on pin 8. In an alternative form (Figures 4 and 5 not shown) the weight is attached to a disc rotatable relative to the pivoted member.</p> |
