1465108 Dishwashing machines DIVERSEY Ltd 6 March 1975 [6 May 1974] 19815/74 Heading A4F [Also in Divisions B8 and D1] A dispenser for dispensing material such as solid or liquid detergent into a dishwashing or other machine comprises means for advancing therethrough a tube F containing the material, a slitting blade L arranged to produce a continuous slit in the tube F as it advances, and a ramp device M arranged to engage and deform the slit tube F so that the material falls from the slit and a hopper N for receiving the falling material and passing it to the machine. The tube may be sealed transversely to provide material in discrete portions. The blade L can alternatively be of a scissors pattern or can be rotatable, and, if desired, a plurality of blades may be arranged around the periphery of tube F. The latter is advanced by winding it intermittently on to a spool K rotated by linkage mechanism Q operated by a solenoid J controlled by a circuit P having a variable pulsed output. The material may be washed through the hopper N by water discharged through a sprayer W controlled by an electrically operated valve O. |
