PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for booting a computer system are provided to perform warm booting through a booting file which is stored in DRAM. CONSTITUTION: A memory(28-2) stores a capturing table. A capturing module(28-1) obtains file information in a capturing mode. The capturing module stores the obtained information on the capturing table. The file is stored in storing medium. The files are selected by a user. The files are accessed by a CPU.
