<p>A connector comprises a first 1 and a second 2 element, preferably a female and male element respectively. Each element has a respective structure, such as an aperture (9, 15, figures 5 and 7 respectively) arranged so that, when the two elements are brought together and appropriately aligned with each other, a locking member 10, such as a pin, may be engaged with the two structures to connect the two elements together. The two elements include respective mutually cooperating formations 11, 12. These are arranged such that, as the two elements are brought together, any engagement between the formations causes the two elements to move relative to one another so that they align sufficiently to enable the locking member to be engaged with the respective structures. The connector is suitable for use as a subsea mooring connector.</p> |
