An external support for a leg comprising a plurality of fixation pins (Fig D) for attachment to the bone, two supports (Fig C) for the pins one either side of the bone, the supports having holes A1 to receive the pins, and a bottom support (Fig B) for supporting the bottom of the foot and for attaching to the distal ends of the two support members. The bottom support is fixed to the foot via the horse shoe. The device is used to support a broken or fractured limb of a horse.
