<p>1417245 Supervisory system HONEYWELL Inc 2 Feb 1973 [4 Feb 1972] 5344/73 Heading G4H In a supervisory system having a plurality of remote stations which report the values of monitored variables to a central station, the central station includes, for at least one of the variables, a store for defining a band of values for that variable, a comparator (Fig. 2, not shown) for determining when the reported value leaves the band on either side, a memory 21, Fig. 3, set to one or other of two states on the value leaving one or other side of the band, and an alarm 22 operative on the memory being set to a predetermined one of its two states. Fig. 4 shows the reported values from scans S1-S8 of a remote station monitoring temperature: here there is an upper alarm limit of 72‹ C., and the band is in the range 72-73‹ C. The comparator output 54, 55 is fed to the circuit of Fig. 3 with the high alarm check 75 being enabled. An output 81 sets or resets 21 and operates 22 as shown in Fig. 4, the outputs (54, 55) for the scans S1-S8 being (0, 1), (1, 1), (1,1), (0, 1), (1, 0), (1, 1), (1, 1), (0, 1), respectively.</p> |
