<p>PURPOSE: A hinge assembly for a steam cleaner is provided to guarantee convenience because first and second members are unlocked and automatically turned from side to side if external force is applied. CONSTITUTION: A hinge assembly for a steam cleaner comprises first and second members, a horizontally turning center shaft member(550), and an eccentric member. The first member is installed in a base assembly. A longitudinally turning center shaft(513) of the first member turns forth and back. The second member is installed in a push rod assembly. In order to let the second member turn side to side with respect to the first member, a horizontally turning center shaft(551) of the horizontally turning center shaft member supports the second member. The eccentric member is installed eccentrically to the horizontally turning center shaft in parallel. If the first and second members are aligned in a vertical straight line, the eccentric member locks the horizontal turning of the first and second members. If external force is applied in a locking state, the eccentric member releases the first and second members and allows horizontal turning of the first and second members.</p> |
