<p>A turbo-machine such as a hydraulic turbine and/or pump-turbine is provided with a combined scroll case distributor wherein the customary stay ring of the scroll case is dispensed with and the distributor integrated with the scroll case, the edges of the distributor that define the distributor slot being held in spaced relation by a series of bolts, on which may be mounted the wicket gates of the machine. The arrangement results in a marked reduction in size and weight of the scroll case components, with potential benefit in the characteristic form of the machine performancs.</p> |
