The device has a lubricant-filled cavity formed between a first surface formed at a cutting element (20) i.e. annular perforated disc, or a component coupled with the cutting element and a second surface formed at another cutting element i.e. knife, or a component coupled with the latter cutting element. The volume of the cavity is reduced by a corrective motion of the latter cutting element along a travel path. The cutting elements are kept in fluid communication with a form-fit connection, such that lubricant e.g. mineral oil, is supplied to the form-fit connection from the cavity.
