#CMT# #/CMT# The bearing i.e. assembly bearing (1), has an intermediate chamber (12) arranged between a compensation diaphragm (11) and a bearing housing (5). A ventilation opening (14) is attached to the housing. A ventilation channel (17) is continued with a connection channel (24) in the intermediate chamber under the compensation diaphragm by a switchable valve unit (18). An air chamber (16) is ventilated by the ventilation channel during opened valve unit over the connection channel, the intermediate chamber and the ventilation opening at the housing to the surrounding atmosphere to control damping. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Switchable elastic bearing i.e. assembly bearing (claimed), for a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The air chamber is ventilated by the ventilation channel during opened valve unit over the connection channel, the intermediate chamber and the ventilation opening at the housing to the surrounding atmosphere to control damping, thus avoiding dirt and/or sea water arrived into the area of the valve unit and sucking effect during movement of the sealing piston relative to the ventilation openings at the bearing house.
