<p>A broadcasting receiver and a control method thereof which receives a broadcasting signal according to a digital video broadcasting (DVB) standard, are provided. The broadcasting receiver includes: an automatic gain adjuster which adjusts an intensity of a received broadcasting signal to a predetermined level; a frame identifier which identifies an existence or non-existence of an extended frame of the broadcasting signal; and a controller which selectively controls an operation of the automatic gain adjuster depending on the existence or the non-existence of the extended frame identified by the frame identifier. With this configuration, there are provided a broadcasting receiver and a control method thereof which prevents errors in receiving a broadcasting signal having an extended frame.</p> |
