PURPOSE: A stereoscopic 3d display apparatus and a driving method thereof are provided to drive an optimum stereoscopic image display panel by changing a driving signal outputted to a regulator circuit. CONSTITUTION: A central controller(110) controls a signal communicated between an external device and a stereoscopic image display panel. The central controller generates a plurality of control signals and a selection signal according to the command signal of the external device. A signal generator(120) generates at least one drive signal for the stereoscopic image display panel through a control signal and outputs it. A signal output controller outputs the selected drive signal to the stereoscopic image display panel based on the selection signal. A connecting unit(140) is comprised of a plurality of connectors which are electrically connected between the external device and the stereoscopic image display panel.
