PURPOSE: A temperature compensation apparatus for mold flux and a continuous casting method using the same are provided to prevent deckle on the surface of molten steel and minimize defects of billets by maintaining uniform temperature of molten mold flux. CONSTITUTION: A temperature compensation apparatus for mold flux comprises a heating cover(200), an insulating material feeder(300), a gas feeder(400), a temperature measuring device(500), and a controller. The heating cover is arranged separate from the top of mold flux. The insulating material feeder supplies an insulating material through the heating cover to the top of the mold flux. The gas feeder supplies oxygen to the inside of the heating cover in order to oxidize the insulating material. The temperature measuring device is supported by the heating cover so that one end thereof is submerged in the mold flux and measures the temperature of the mold flux. The controller controls the operations of the insulating material feeder and the gas feeder in connection with the temperature measuring device.
