PURPOSE: Positive electrode active material is provided to improve capacity after activation range, and to have excellent electrical properties. CONSTITUTION: Positive electrode active material has the composition in chemical formula 1: wLi_2MO_3 × xLiM'O_2 × yLiM"_2O_4 × zLi_3PO_4, and has the shape of solid solution or composite. In chemical formula 1, 0<w<1, 0<x<1, 0<y<0.3, 0<z<0.1, w+x+y+z=1, M is one or more kinds of element selected from transition metals of period 1 or period 2 having average oxidation number +4, M' is one or more kinds of element elected from transition metals of period 1 or period 2 having average oxidation number +3, and M" is one or more kinds of element selected from transition metals of period 1 or period 4 consisting of the combinations of average oxidation number +3 and +4. |
