PURPOSE: An image reading apparatus, a control method thereof, and an image reading system are provided to transmit an image reading command to the image reading apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A host personal computer(103) registers a host personal computer name, a profile name, and a profile setup content. A multifunctional device(101) receives information from the host personal computer. If a user selects a profile by manipulating a shortcut key corresponding to a specific profile, the multi function device request a full scan to the host personal computer. The host personal computer receives a full scan request message. The host personal computer processes the transmitted image data.
