CARBON FIBER REINFORCED CARBON COMPOSITE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A carbon composite material and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent exfoliation and/or cracking caused by thermal stress even when carbide is manufactured by reactive gas. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of carbon composite material comprises the following steps: defibrating less than 1.0mm linear carbon fibers(1) into strand; forming a perform which includes the linear carbon fiber in a strand state and precursor substance of carbon matrix; pressure-molding the preform; plasticizing the pressure-molded perform; and manufacturing the carbon matrix from the precursor substance. The carbon composite material comprises the carbon fiber and carbon matrix(3). The carbon fiber strengthening carbon complex material is formed monolithically. The carbon composite material has 1.2g/cm or greater bulk density and 5-15GPa modulus of elasticity.
