PURPOSE: An apparatus for driving of a display panel is provided to interrupt power supplied to a display panel from a DC-DC converter by detecting a short circuit. CONSTITUTION: A DC-DC converter(20) boosts a constant voltage supplied from a power supply unit to the driving voltage of a display panel. A short detection unit(40) detects the temperature of a display panel and detects a short circuit. The short detection unit outputs a short detection signal to a DC-DC converter according to a short circuit and controls the output voltage of a DC-DC converter. A TSD(43) outputs the output signal of a high level by detecting the temperature of the display panel. An S/R latch(45) outputs the short circuit detect signal to the DC-DC converter.
