PURPOSE:To make it possible to prevent the rust formation on the surface of iron material such as single sheet for coil iron core, German silver (alloy), and to prevent the formation of verdigris on copper surface, by applying a coating medium made by addn. of specific quantities of water, nitrite, aliphatic tertiary amine to alcohol such as CH3OH, or C2H5OH. CONSTITUTION:To 100 parts alcohol such as CH3OH or C2H5OH are added 0.2- 3 parts water, 0.2-3 parts nitrite such as NaNO2, KNO2, and 0.1-3 parts aliphatic amine such as tri-n-butyl amine etc. in order to make a rust proof coating medium. The rust proof coating medium shows no change with age, and is chemically and physically stable, in addn., it is colorless and transparent. It is produced in large quantity at a low cost. No crack is formed in the rust proof coating formed on the sharp edges of material, consequently no rust is formed. |
