PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for protecting an automated clutch at high-temperatures are provided to efficiently prevent damage to a clutch by prohibiting a slip control. CONSTITUTION: A method for protecting an automated clutch at high-temperatures is as follows. Loss energy is calculated when the engine of a vehicle is operated(S140). A temperature change is calculated from the calculated loss energy(S160). The temperature of a clutch is estimated in consideration of the calculated temperature change(S170). When the estimated temperature of the clutch exceeds a pre-set slip control prohibition temperature, a slip control is stopped(S190).
