PURPOSE: A liquid discharge head manufacturing method is provided to form a flow path as a desired shape having an excellent precision and to obtain a liquid discharge head having an excellent discharge property with a high yield. CONSTITUTION: A liquid discharge head manufacturing method is as follows. A substrate(1) is provided to surround a region where a flow path is formed. A solid member(6) is arranged in the substrate. A mold(7) for the flow path manufactured with a metal or metal compound in the inner part of the region where the substrate surrounds. A coating layer to coat the solid member and mold manufactured with resin(8) is arranged to be contacted with the solid member and mold. The mold is eliminated so that the flow path is formed.
