PET-MRI CONVERGENCE SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A PET-MRI convergence system is provided to maintain sensitivity of PET(Position Emission Tomography) data by reducing negative effect of PET data on MRI(Magnetic Resonance Imaging). CONSTITUTION: A magnet bore(210) is cylindrical and has an inner wall and an outer wall. A gradient magnet(220) is installed near the inner wall of the magnet bore. An MRI RF coil is installed near the inner wall of the gradient magnet. The MRI RF coil outputs an RF pulse signal and detects MRI data corresponding to the RF pulse signal. A PET detector(240a,240b) is separated from the MRI RF coil and is installed near the inner wall of the gradient magnet. An RF shielding unit shields an RF pulse signal outputted from the MRI RF coil and is installed near the PET detector.
