PURPOSE: A rod separating device for a tapping machine of a blast furnace is provided to minimize the risk of accidents and reduce the cost for component replacement because a rod is mechanically separated. CONSTITUTION: A rod separating device for a tapping machine of a blast furnace comprises a clamping unit and a separating unit. The clamping unit is located in front of a tapping socket(130) in which a rod(140) is fixed and clamps the rod. The separating unit connects the clamping unit to a body(120) and separates the clamping unit and the tapping socket when the body moves backward along a guide channel(110) of the tapping machine.
