Disclosed are: an optical film having low haze and exhibiting a small fluctuation in phase difference when used under high temperature conditions or for a long period; a process for producing the optical film; a liquid crystal panel having excellent visibility, which utilizes the optical film; and an image display device utilizing the liquid crystal panel. The optical film comprises 20 to 80% by mass of a cellulose acylate resin and 20 to 80% by mass of an acrylic resin, and is characterized by containing not less than 0.001% by mass and less than 0.1% by mass of at least one solvent selected from an ester solvent, a ketone solvent and an aliphatic solvent.
