METHOD FOR HISTOCHEMICAL DETECTION OF CHOLINE ESTERASE

A method for histochemical detection of choline esterase comprises the treatment of the histologic section with thiolacetic acid. The specimen after prefixation and preparation of the cryotome sections is incubated with thiolacetic acid in the setting of sonication at the frequency of 0.88 MHz, the output of 0.2-0.4 W/cmat the temperature of 18- for 10-20 minutes. The sections are washed with the distilled water being again sonicated for 2-4 minutes.
