FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely ophthalmology, particularly to posterior lamellar keratoplasty, and can be used for surgical management of primary and secondary epithelial-endothelial corneal dystrophy (EECD), and also in epithelial insufficiency of penetrating corneal graft. A Descemet's membrane with an affected endothelium is removed through a corneoscleral tunnel incision. A graft of posterior corneal layers is formed in layers to the thickness of 100-120 mcm. The folded graft is inserted in an anterior chamber of a recipient's eye, and after having been filled with air the anterior chamber is checked for tightness and sutured if needed. ^ EFFECT: method promotes higher visual functions, as well as reduced length of patient rehabilitation and relieved corneal syndrome. ^ 2 ex |
