The difference signal of the comparator circuit is used to control the current source whose pulse is summed up with the amplified signal of the photodiode using a blocking capacitor. First, based on the trigger signal from the pulse former, a signal is transmitted to the discharge current source, thereby discharging the blocking capacitor.
