PURPOSE: A composition for promoting plant growth and a method for cultivating a plant using the same are provided to enhance yield of crops. CONSTITUTION: A composition for promoting plant growth contains a fermentation which is prepared by naturally fermenting a mixture of bamboo shoots and sugar; a fermentation which is prepared by naturally fermenting a mixture of rice bran and sugar; or a fermentation which is prepared by fermenting a mixture of bamboo shoots, sugar, and rice bran. A method or cultivating a plant comprises a step of contacting the composition with the plant.
