PURPOSE: A quadrature voltage controlled oscillator using a lower serial coupling is provided to prevent the generation of phase difference of current and voltage of phase difference by applying orthogonal signals on the lower part of a switching transistor. CONSTITUTION: A quadrature voltage controlled oscillator using a lower serial coupling comprises two voltage controlled oscillators(300a,300b). Each voltage controlled oscillator comprises negative resistance parts(320a,320b), a pair of resonant part(310a,310b), two coupling circuit portions(330a,330b) for coupling two voltage controlled oscillators. Each voltage controlled oscillator is connected to each resonant part. Each voltage controlled oscillator comprises a pair of switching transistors(M1,M2,M3,M4).
