ANTIOXIDANT PEPTIDE ISOLATED FROM NILE TILAPIA AND ANTIOXIDANT COMPOSITION COMPRISING OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: An antioxidative peptide isolated from Oreochromis niloticus and an antioxidative composition containing the same are provided to obtain excellent peptide with oxidation activity. CONSTITUTION: An antioxidative peptide is isolated from Oreochromis niloticus scale gelatin and has an amino acid of sequence number 1. An antioxidative composition contains the antioxidative peptide as an active ingredient. A method for isolating the antioxidative peptide comprises: a step of adding alkalase, pepsin, or trypsin to the Oreochromis niloticus scale; a step of stirring at optimal temperature and culturing for 4 hours; a step of heating for 10 minutes; and a step of purifying by ion exchange chromatography and HPLC.
