PURPOSE: A functional toothpaste composition is provided to prevent dental caries and periodontal disorders and to improve anti-bacterial and inflammatory function. CONSTITUTION: A functional toothpaste composition contains abrasive, wetting agent, viscosity adjusting agent, foaming agent, sweetener, antiseptic, flavoring agent, and whitening ingredient. The composition further contains 1-10 wt% of bio complex protein formulation and 30-100 wt% of purified water. The purified water contains Salicornia herbacea liquid. A method for manufacturing the composition comprises: a step of mixing abrasive, wetting agent, viscosity adjusting agent, foaming agent, sweetener, antiseptic, flavoring agent, and whitening ingredient; a step of cooling the ingredients; a step of heating the cooled ingredients and dissolving into liquefied state; a step of adding the ingredients into a molding device; and a step of selecting and packaging the ingredients into a product.
