<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic power factor regulator capable of performing a switching-on and cutting-off control of an appropriate advanced-phase capacitor without assuming a load power factor in advance, and without re-assuming the load power factor again even in the case where there are exchange and addition of a load apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The automatic power factor regulator comprises: an actual-value calculating part which calculates an actual value of a current at a load side of a power reception point; a switching-on and cutting-off decision control part which controls a switching-on and cutting-off state of a circuit breaker; and a load power factor estimation part which calculates an estimated value of the load power factor of the load by using the current actual value calculated by the actual-value calculating part and a rated current value of the advanced-phase capacitor which is switched on or cut off, before and after the switching-on or cutting-off of the advanced-phase capacitor of which the switching-on control or the cutting-off control is carried out by the switching-on and cutting-off decision control part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
