METHOD OF RECYCLING CERIUM OXIDE ABRASIVE MATERIAL

PURPOSE: A method for recycling cerium oxide abrasive is provided to get high purity cerium oxide abrasive because frit glasses and inorganic coagulants of abrasive wastes are removed environmentally-friendly by applying an acid treatment process and an ultrasonic and/or bubble treatment process together. CONSTITUTION: A method for recycling cerium oxide abrasive is as follows. Organic acid solution and abrasive wastes are mixed and stirred in a reactor(100) to change inorganic coagulants to ionic species by an acid treatment process and float frit glasses. The floated frit glasses are removed. The cerium oxide abrasive is obtained through cleaning and drying process. The ph of the organic acid is within 0.5-6.0.
