<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road-side communication device capable of monitoring incoming abnormal signal information with an erroneous data content. <P>SOLUTION: A road-side communication device (e.g., an optical beacon 5) includes: an acquisition part 53 for acquiring, for every predetermined time, signal information including display schedule time per lighting color; an update part 551 for generating update information produced by replacing the display schedule time of the present lighting color of already acquired signal information with a countdown value obtained by subtracting elapsed time from the time of acquiring the signal information; a lighting color comparison part 552 for performing a first comparison for determining whether the present lighting color of new information that is newly obtained signal information matches with the present lighting color of update information; and a determination part 553 for determining an abnormality of the new information depending on whether a time lag occurring between lighting colors having matched with each other according to the first comparison is equal to or less than a predefined threshold if the result of the first comparison is affirmative. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
