<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor interruption circuit capable of minimizing enlargement of the circuit area or increase in production cost without using a snubber circuit, a waveform generation circuit, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: When a determination is made that short circuit or an overcurrent has occurred and a semiconductor interrupter 12 interrupts a current, a control unit 11 switches electrical connection state of switches S<SB POS="POST">3</SB>and S<SB POS="POST">4</SB>to on state, and brings the resistance of a gate voltage adjustment unit to a low level thus decreasing the gate voltage V<SB POS="POST">G</SB>of the semiconductor interrupter 12, at once in a short time, to a level slightly higher than a threshold voltage V<SB POS="POST">1</SB>at which the semiconductor interrupter 12 starts interruption. Subsequently, electrical connection state of switches S<SB POS="POST">1</SB>and S<SB POS="POST">3</SB>is switched to off state and the resistance of the gate voltage adjustment unit is brought to a high level thus decreasing the gate voltage V<SB POS="POST">G</SB>of the semiconductor interrupter 12 gradually to a level slightly lower than a threshold voltage V<SB POS="POST">2</SB>at which the semiconductor interrupter 12 finishes interruption. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
