PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic information distribution device for reducing communication costs, and for distributing sufficient traffic information.

SOLUTION: This traffic information distribution device comprises: distribution request information reception means for receiving distribution request information for requesting the distribution of traffic information including self-vehicle location information showing the current location of a vehicle and destination information showing destinations from a navigation device loaded on the vehicle; basic distribution range setting means for setting a basic distribution range as the distribution object of the traffic information based on the self-vehicle location information and the destination information included in the distribution request information; distribution range changing means for changing the basic distribution range to set a changed distribution range based on road conditions within the basic distribution range; traffic information extraction means for extracting the traffic information corresponding to the changed distribution range; and traffic information distribution control means for controlling the extracted traffic information so as to be distributed to the navigation device.
