The insert (1) has a cylindrical base body (2), a flange (3), an internal thread (4) and a coaxial external thread (5), where the insert is formed as an anti-twist plate in a peripheral region extending over entire insertion length parallel to insertion direction running flats (6, 7) of an external thread. The threaded insert fastens a screw thread rod or screws at a sheet metal. The flange is formed in form of a countersunk head. The internal thread and the external thread comprise different or equal to rotation directions.
