<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine that can precisely form a stitched section of the specified length. <P>SOLUTION: In a sewing machine, the length in the prescribed direction of a stitched section, which is at least a part of the prescribed seam to be sewn on a sewing object, is obtained (S10). At least one marker that moves together with the sewing object is photographed and then image data are generated (S80). The amount of movement of the at least one marker is calculated at least based on the image data (S80). If the prescribed range that is set at the opposite side to the start point of the stitched section in the prescribed direction is determined to be sewn based on the calculated amount of movement, the rotary speed of a sewing machine motor is set at or below a prescribed value (S80). When the length of the stitched section in the prescribed direction is determined to have reached the specified length (S130: YES), the sewing of the stitched section is finished (S150: YES or S170). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
