PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating agent for forming an inkjet ink receiving layer having excellent water resistance, capable of suppressing white drop-out and white stripes of an image and having high surface glossiness and excellent image forming performance, a recording medium for image formation using the coating agent for forming the inkjet ink receiving layer, and a printed material formed by performing inkjet printing on the medium.

SOLUTION: The coating agent for the inkjet ink receiving layer includes a crosslinked emulsion (A) and anionic water-soluble resin (B).
