<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light distribution control apparatus which eliminates an uncomfortable feeling of illumination even when a white line in a front region can not be correctly detected, and ensures light distribution control suitable for driving safety. <P>SOLUTION: This light distribution control apparatus includes a light distribution control means 1 that controls light distribution by selecting one of a white line sensing mode wherein the illumination direction of a headlamp HL is controlled based on the white line detected by a means 2 to detect a white line in a front area of the own vehicle, and a steering angle sensing mode wherein the illumination direction of the headlamp HL is controlled based on the steering angle Sθ of the own vehicle CAR.
