<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of preventing clogging of a nozzle of a printing head caused by paper powder even when paper width of a continuous form to be used is changed. <P>SOLUTION: The printer 1 includes: the printing head 7 discharging ink droplets toward the continuous form 2 having feeding holes 2a formed at predetermined intervals at both ends in the paper width direction; cover members 21 covering the feeding holes 2a in an installation region P of the printing head 7 in the carrying direction of the continuous form 2; and a plurality of divided platens 8 arranged in the installation region P of the printing head 7 in the carrying direction and divided in the paper width direction. The cover member 21A is movable to the paper width direction.
